I baked bread this morning and my house smells soooooo good right now. As with the last 2 posts, I realized while I was baking, that I did it because I wanted to not because I had to! I guess I am realizing that I am quite thankful for the little things that I get to do, that I love and bring joy to me and my family. Not everyone has that luxury and I don't want to take that lightly.
I am gone for the weekend at a mommy conference. I hope to come back refreshed and I also expect to hear what you all are thankful for.
Have a wonderful weekend. Enjoy the simple things.
(sorry no pics today... please don't hate me)

Your industrialness makes me want to get off the computer and go clean. mmmmm...bread!
I just saw Elizabeth Gilbert (whose book Eat, Pray, Love I just finished) on TV and one of her recommendations for everyone is to write down at the end of every day what the best moment of the day is, even if it's something as trivial as feeling the sun on your skin as you go and get the mail. That way no matter how bad your day was, you'll see something lovely in it, just like you do here. I'm grateful for people like her and you who give me that needed perspective.
I definitely agree - maybe I wouldn't have been so cranky last night if I had taken the time to sit down and remember the hour I had been able to spend yesterday morning on the swing in the front yard playing with the dog and feeling the breeze and the sunshine...it makes me smile right now thinking about it.
